MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR – January 2023

CONGRATULATIONS to the eight members elected to the Board for the coming term who are to be appointed by the Town of Caledon Council on January 31st. They will be joined by the two Area Councillors for the Wards which include Bolton.

And thanks to the previous Board members who will retire this month.

Mark your calendars for the Annual General Meeting which will take place on Monday, December 12th at 7pm, virtually. You can find our more about our AGM here.

One more big event to look forward to this year Ye Olde Tyme Christmas: Christmas tree lighting, Santa Claus and the reindeer and the Christmas market. Plan to be in Downtown Bolton from 6p.m. to 9p.m. on Friday, December 2nd. See you there and BUY LOCAL!

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR – Late Summer 2022

Summer Market

As a very active Summer in downtown Bolton nears an end, there is one more event to enjoy. Please join us at the Royal Courtyards for the final Summer Market of 2022, this Saturday, August 27th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bolton British Bites will provide delicious food while you enjoy the musical style of Isabella Morency and browse the stalls of the unique vendors.

Elections

This year is election year so check out the local candidates for Mayor and Council and be sure to VOTE on October 24th.

Also, we will be have elections to the Board of the BIA and I hope to see some enthusiastic and energetic people run for the eight member positions. All members of the BIA are eligible to run for office and to vote.

Public Art

In addition to the installation at the underpass to the Queen Street Bridge and the picnic tables, we are looking forward to more creations at the Well building and the “Sushi” building.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR – Summer 2022

Downtown Bolton is back! Watch for the glorious summer flowers, provided by the BIA, which will bring the town to life in the coming days. And check out the brand new gazebo in the heart of downtown. A big thank you to the Town of Caledon, Bolton Kinsmen and local contractors for bringing this project to completion.

Check out our business directory for the new businesses which are bringing variety and innovation to the downtown.

The Revitalization Task Force is proceeding with the art installations. The underpass to the Queen Street bridge is the first to be completed. Take a walk through the park and admire!

Bicentennial Celebrations

June 4th and 5th will be the Bicentennial celebrations which were postponed for a year due to the pandemic. Click here for details of the two day event.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR – Spring 2022

With the promise of Spring and a new beginning, your BIA is looking at several new initiatives for 2022. We are happy to partner with the Revitalization Task Force and the Bicentennial Committee to make this a very special year for Downtown Bolton and our member businesses.

First we will host a Summer Market on Saturday, June 11th and 18th, July 9th and 16th, August 20th and 27th, 9a.m. to 1p.m, in the parking lot at the Royal Courtyards and feature a variety of local vendors. Visit our Summer Market page for all of the latest details!

Next, Bolton’s Bicentennial will be celebrated in June with exciting events to bring the community together and bring visitors to the downtown.

The Revitalization Task Force has a number of plans such as colourful art installations and musical events. Stay tuned to this space for more news.
