MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR – Spring 2021

Spring flowers

Looking forward to another year and gradual easing of restrictions as more of us get vaccinated.

The Town of Caledon has approved the BIA budget for the coming year.   This year we again kept BIA expenses to a minimum in recognition of the ongoing difficulties of our members due to COVID.  Nevertheless, we are still able to provide the magnificent flower display which enlivens downtown Bolton every year.   Look for updated information and if you want to help with the set up we are always looking for volunteers around the end of May.

Another hopeful sign is the downtown Bolton Revitalization Project. The consultant report is now approved by the Town and the Task Force will be starting its work soon.

The Town has also approved the new use of the old Fire Hall on Ann Street as a community focus. The “Firehub” will feature a year-round market for local foods and artisanal products. It will also host events and include a coworking space and public washrooms.

As always, if the BIA can help in promoting your downtown business or event, or for any questions or ideas to showcase downtown Bolton please contact admin@downtownbolton.ca

From your Board of Management, stay safe and healthy and get the vaccine as soon as you can!

Jean Carberry, Chair Downtown Bolton BIA
