We have some incredible new art in Downtown Bolton 🎨
Last weekend, 4 picnic tables were unveiled at the parkette located by Riverside Grill, each complete with artwork themed around various aspects of Bolton, including the Downtown Bolton skyline! 🏘
The artwork was completed by local artist and long time Bolton resident Alessandra Vai with the assistance of her students from our special needs community: Gaby, Katie and Stephanie.
This project was a collaboration between the STEPS Public Art program and the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Task Force, who contributed four brand new picnic tables for the artwork!
The STEPS Public Art program activates public spaces through art and community engagement, and at the height of the pandemic in 2020, it launched the I HeART Main Street program to support BIAs and small businesses by providing public art in the BIA area. The BIA was keenly interested in the program and successfully applied back in January of this year.
